Tips on Preparing for Bringing a New Baby into your Family

Everyone has been told about the new arrival into the family.  Now as the mother you have to not only prepare for the baby but make sure that you take care of yourself during this pregnancy.

  • Find a doctor: You need to find a doctor that you have confidence in.
  • Learn all you can about the process of childbirth and make plans for the new arrival.
  • Take childbirth classes especially if you are a first-time parent. 
  • Prepare a safe nursery with all the essential items.
  • Pack your bag for hospital, never leave it until the last minute.

Change Table-  These do not have to be expensive, and they do not have to be new.  You can buy one from a friend or from a second hand store and repaint it so it looks brand new. 






Bassinette- Again this can be one given to you and then wash and paint to look brand new or you can buy one like this one






Nappies- this is something that you will need loads of.  You can either have cloth ones or disposable. I know the cloth ones are more work. But have you thought of the toxic waste that the disposable nappies create.  That's right think long and hard if you want to help create a greener place for your new baby to live in.

Writing as a Family With Similar Craft Interests

I have enjoyed writing for years as a novice although I now write together with my daughter on another site.  We share the same interests like photography, crafts,  mosaics, crochet, and my husband also enjoys working with glass which we love the things he makes.
